Fire climbs above the earth like the morning sun, and that rising light carries the theme of this sign: an ascent that brightens everything around it.
The JudgmentProgress: the mighty prince is honored with a great multitude of horses; three times in one day he is received. Swift, well-supported ascent: serve with a clear light and you receive access, trust and room.
The ImageThe sun rises over the earth: the image of progress. Thus the noble one himself brightens his radiant virtue. The sun climbs and, climbing, lights ever more of the world: this is how ascent should work. It is not your position that must rise but your clarity; position follows the light.
InterpretationThe sun comes up, doors open, those above you cooperate: this is easy, well-supported progress. It appears in periods when visibility and recognition are within reach: the right moment for the presentation, the promotion, the declaration of love, the conversation you were dreading. Use the tide: show your work, ask for what you need, take the room you are offered. There is only one condition, and it is strict: purity. An ascent built on real quality and open motives has nothing to hide along the way; an ascent built on cunning drags everything unsound up with it, into the light. Rise like the sun: visible, warm and unhurried.

Six at the beginning
Progressing, but turned back:
perseverance brings good fortune. If trust does not come, remain unmoved; no mistake. The first step upward meets a closed door: you are not (yet) believed or seen. That says more about the phase than about you. Keep working calmly and sincerely without pushing yourself forward and without turning sour: unmoved calm is the most convincing evidence here. Recognition that keeps you waiting and then arrives stands firmer than recognition you have pried loose.
Six in the second place
Progressing, but in sorrow:
perseverance brings good fortune. Then one obtains great happiness from one's ancestral mother. The ascent stalls and it genuinely hurts: the connection with those who could help you onward does not come about. Hold on; the help comes, but along a soft, unexpected line: a protectress, an elder who sees you, support from a quarter without fanfare. What fails through the front entrance sometimes arrives through a side door you never knew existed. Stay reliably visible, and that side door will find you.
Six in the third place
All are agreed: remorse vanishes. You do not have to climb alone: the people around you believe in you and carry your nomination. Lean on that trust without hesitation; being carried is the most natural form of ascent. What you lack in strength or position, the group's assent supplies. Rising on behalf of many stands firmer than climbing for yourself.
Nine in the fourth place
Advancing like a hamster:
perseverance brings danger. Climbing upward while hoarding in the half-dark: stashing away little supplies, hidden agendas, small gains that cannot bear the daylight. Progress is exactly what makes all of it visible: the higher the sun, the shorter the shadows in which to hide your things. Rising means being watched; every side matter that is not right comes up with you. Clear out the burrows before the light finds them: that is not morality but self-protection.
Six in the fifth placeruling line
Remorse vanishes.
Do not take gain and loss to heart: undertakings bring good fortune, everything is favorable. At the height of influence comes the liberating instruction: stop keeping score. Tracking your own tally at every step (what does this get me, what does it cost me) makes you shrivel exactly where you should be generous. Work in the light, share the room, let the bookkeeping go: act like this and you win more than you could ever have counted, and the remorse over missed chances dissolves by itself.
Nine at the top
Advancing with the horns is permitted only to punish one's own city:
whoever is aware of the danger has good fortune and incurs no blame; perseverance brings shame. At the end of the ascent, hardness still belongs in exactly one arena: your own house, your own organization, your own mistakes. There you may lead with the horns, provided you know the risk. But keep aiming your striking power at the outside world, and you put your own light to shame. Strict inward, mild outward: that is the order of those who have truly risen.
